For this blog, I want to comment on the latest animes and maybe, persuade you to watch it too. Note that this list is in random and doesn't mean that I placed the boring ones first and saved the best for last :D
Dangan Ronpa : The Animation
Bullet Refutal : The Animation
The weird anime that give off a good first impression. At first you'll be like "Ah okay. They're going to kill each other just to get out of that school. Cool." But the second episode really deepened the plot as they had to commit the perfect crime; they had to kill one of them so perfectly that no evidence will claim that you are the murderer. Every time someone is killed, a class trial is held and all of them can debate who the murderer is. If they successfully do point out the guilty party, the murderer will be executed for disturbing the peaceful society. Else, if the murderer gets away with it, the murderer "graduates" and can leave the school while executing all of the remaining students. My friends and I try NOT TO READ THE MANGA, WIKI OR PSP just so we could have fun trying to point out the murderer. Every episode is filled with intense plot and I evaluate this anime as the best anime for this season.
Servant x Service
This anime is about people working for the people, a civil servant. It's about three people who just got hired into a government office and is working hard. Lucy, one of the three new employees, had a reason to join the government office : She wanted revenge on the one who approved of her birth certificate. Her full first name (or at least as much as she bothered listing) is: Lucy Kimiko Akie Airi Shiori Rinne Yoshiho Ayano Tomika Chitose Sanae Mikiko Ichika and her last name is Yamagami. She will not stop until she finds the person who approved of her name. The other two newly employed civil servants is Saya and Hasabe(On the image). Saya is favored by the elderly and she has to listen to the lenghty story the old people had to tell. Hasabe, on the other hand, seems to look like a playboy and only likes to slack off during work. But when a problem arises, such as a non-sensical complaint or a handicapped civillian, he is very good at handling it. Together, they do their job and they tell us that being a civil servant is hard, even though the people see them always slacking off.
Hyperdimension Neptunia
The anime that came from a game(same as Dangan Ronpa). Ultimately, this anime is aimed for men because of bouncing mammalian glands. This anime is about four countries each ruled by one goddess. I don't know why subbers translate Megami(which is goddess) into CPU, so the subs tells us that the four rulers are CPU. It seems that previously, this four countries were at war because of "shares". I didn't understand what this "shares" at first but it seems that this may be called as resources too. I think there is only one resource and they are all fighting for it. Only at the first episode shows that the four countries and the four goddess united and shared this resources. Each goddess has a little sister that helps. Not much plot yet(but there are a lot of bouncing plot) and i have hopes it has some kind of development and not just a fan service anime.
Nekomonogatari
Cat Story
Monogatari can be translated as "story" and the author of this light novel has made several stories already. The first to come out is Bakemonogatari which can be translated to Ghost Story or Monster Story. It centers around Kiyomi Araragi, a half vampire. Unless you read the light novel, not much is known about Kiyomi's past except that fact that he was attacked by a vampire and turned into one. Though the twist is he became the superior vampire and made the original vampire his slave. Bakemonogatari tells about four/five girls who were possessed by ghost or monsters and Kiyomi, together with the help of an exorcist, exorcised them. The current monogatari that has aired is Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari(Fake Story) which is about Kiyomi's sisters also possessed by monsters and Nekomonogatari.
This story centers on Hanekawa(shown above), the first person Kiyomi had thought he exorcised but didn't know that it failed. Originally, Hanekawa found a dead cat on the road and gave it a proper burial. Most of us would ignore a road-killed cat but Hanekawa didn't. It is said that burying a dead cat is bad luck and indeed, Hanekawa got somewhat bad luck by being possessed by that cat and good luck for the viewers for the Cat cosplay fan service(LOL). When Kiyomi thought it was all over, the cat spirit arose again when Hanekawa experiences heavy stress. To let out this stress, the cat spirit takes over when Hanekawa is asleep and roams around the city, doing anything it wants; murder, life draining(The cat is somewhat a lesser vampire) and more recently, arson. Although it is said that Kiyomi Araragi is the main protagonist of the Monogatari Series, he has little to no screen time in Nekomonogatari.
Blood Lad
Blood Lad is a typical monster/demon anime where they fight to own territory. The protagonist is a vampire that loves the culture of japan. His name is Staz Blood and unlike his ancestors, who love to go to the human world and feed on humans, he prefers to stay home surrounded by his anime collection (much like an otaku). Staz was the boss of a city and had many henchmen. One day, a human had wondered off into the demon world and most importantly, she was Japanese(On the image). Staz panicked and had many questions to ask her. When his henchmen brought the japanese girl into his room, he was stunned by her beauty/cuteness and he suddenly got an urge NOT to bite her but to protect her, like a normal person would when he sees a cute baby. He had many questions like why Final Fantasy has so many sequels and what's so FINAL about it. Suddenly, an illegal vendor trespassed into Staz's territory and wanted to fight Staz. The rule in the demon world was that anyone who could take the head of the boss territory will become the new boss. Staz was too busy asking too many questions but was persuaded by the girl to take a look on the situation. He was immediately charmed by the puppy look of hers and jumped out of the window in a high storey building. Staz confronted the illegal vendor who had giant carnivorous plants with him. With his magic, from mid distance, he squeezed the heart of the vendor like a balloon with one hand, much like Star War's Force powers. When he finished, he immediately went back to his room only to find a carnivorous plant ate the japanese girl. The plant spitted the bones of the girl and in shock, Staz ripped the plant into pieces to acquire all of her bones. They soon realized that the girls soul became a ghost is just sitting on Staz's bed, naked. The anime proceeds with Staz trying various ways to resurrect her like collecting the dragon balls (LOL), resurrection magic and such.
Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku
Chronicles of the Going Home Club
This anime is about two girls who could not decide which club to join. As one of them, with the large ahoge, wasn't academically or athletically active, she decided to join the go home club. The other girl, the cute one, said it was a great idea and decided to join her. The next day, the cute one handed a form for the other girl to join the go home club. She was shocked that there really was a going home club. The five of them do different activities in a comical way. I can say that this anime is a gender bend of The Daily Lives of High School Boys.

Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya
The Fate series is about fighting over the Holy Grail which can grant any wish. Masters who are mages can summon servants of heroic myth and legend such as Hercules, Medea, King Arthur, etc. Only a servant can touch the holy grail and that servant can only touch the holy grail if he/she has a master. This means that if a servant loses his/her master and another master lost his servant, the two can join together to form a new pact.
Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is not really part of the series and is only somewhat a parody of the original. Illya Einzbern(On the image, the one with white hair), in the original series, is a master with Hercules the Berserker as her servant. She comes from a far off land and comes to Japan to join the Holy Grail War. She has a childish relationship with the protagonist of Fate Stay Night, Shirou Emiya as her older brother when in fact she is the biological older sister.
In this anime, Illya lives with Shirou Emiya together with her two maids. She is just an ordinary girl with an ordinary family... until Rin came. In the original series, Tohsaka Rin(Shown above with black hair) is also a master and an ally of Emiya. In this anime, Tohsaka Rin is a magician in the making and had a mission to collect cards that contain the essence of evil... in this sense are the servants. Rin and a companion came to Japan to look for the cards but their magical wands couldn't handle their quarreling and had quit being their master. In search for a master, they looked for a girl with big dreams, which in this case, was Illya... who was bathing in a bath tub, then Emiya came in, then she shouted, then the wand swooshed through the bath room window and right into Emiya's face. The magical wand named Ruby(shown above), persuaded or rather coerced Illya into forming a contract with it. It was too late when Rin found Illya and Ruby. She just then decided to train Illya into becoming a Magical Girl and find all the cards before her rival does.
Love Lab
As the title suggest, it is an anime where they experiment about love. Riko(shown above), also known as the Wild One, is the strong, reliable girl who is somewhat a deliquent but not really. She is loved by most girls because of her coolness and kind attitude. She accidentally stepped into the Student Council where the perfect Student Council President Maki resides. The president is seen kissing a hug pillow with a doodle image of a boy drawn into it. In embarrassment, Maki coerced Riko to never tell anyone or her reputation as the perfect student council president will crumble. Riko gave in and wanted an explanation on what she was doing. She explained that she was training for when she would have a boyfriend. She then asked Riko if she had any boy friend. To look cool, she lied by saying she had already gone out multiple times already and is already a master of love. Maki wanted her to teach her by doing various love situation as an experiment and thus began their experiments in secret... until the other student council members came in.
Shingeki no Kyojin
Attack on Titan
Ahhh the on going anime that shook the anime world last season. Zombies too weak for you? One shot and boom, they're dead? Well this anime takes it to a whole new level. What if zombies were giants! like 5-10 or even 60 meters tall! and no matter how you hit them, they would just regenerate any lost limb. They would over power you with immense speed and power that you can't do anything but wait to be eaten. They would be called Titans. It is just too epic.
The anime starts with Eren Jaeger, a child who lives within the Walls of Maria. The Walls, much like the great wall of china, only 6 times taller, surrounds a great deal of territory where no Titan could set foot. What's left of human territory is inside three concentric circles. The inner circle is named Wall Sina where it keeps the King and Nobles. The mid circle is Wall Rose and keeps most merchants and any mid class family. The outer circle is Wall Maria where it comprises of mostly farmers and a village like society. Eren was the son of a doctor but still lived in Wall Maria and had to do everyday labor. Every time soldier came back from Titan territory, Eren was pleased at the sight of such brave warriors who risk their lives just to study this Titans. But as always, they always come back with no findings and just casualties. He always dreamed of joining them someday. Eren was angry when the people looked down on the Survey Corps and hit the head of a man who complained of their failure. Mikasa, his uhhhh... sister LOL FAMILYZONED pulled him away from the crowds and telling him that they should go home already. When they got home, Mikasa tattletale on Eren saying he wanted to join the Survey Corps and his mother got angry by pinching his ears. His mother was scolding him but his father was advising him, praising him even. Eren just shrugged it off by going outside. After walking around, he saw his friend, Armin, being bullied. When the bullies saw Eren, they were ready to take him on but when they saw Mikasa behind him, they got scared and ran off. They then go to the river banks and talk about the out side world where the one who could visit all of Earth's wonders would be the freeist person in the world. Just when they thought that the wall has protected them from the titans for a hundred years, lightning and thunder struck just near the outside of the wall. Every one was shocked to see a titan much taller than the wall; 60 freaking meters. It's foot struck the gate with a heavy blow sending debris flying everywhere and letting the smaller titans into Wall Maria. It then disappeared like it wasn't even there. Eren was worried about his mother so he ran towards his home only to find it in rumbles. His mother was crushed under the debris and even if they got her out, she wouldn't be able to walk because her foot was already crushed. A soldier came and Eren's mother pleaded that he should take Eren and Mikasa away and save themselves for a 15 meter tall titan was approaching. The soldier named Hanes ignored what she said for she was underestimating him. He charged on the titan only to see the titan's creepy colgate white teeth. In fright, he headed back and took Mikasa and Eren away. Eren was forced to see the sight of her mother being cracked into two and eaten, torso first, and swallowed whole. Blood sprayed everywhere like red butterflies in hordes.
In the second episode, as the people and soldiers evacuated, and was about to close off Wall Maria, an Iron(man) Titan appeared. Most titans are like zombies; unintelligent, just eats anything that is moving and bares flesh but some titans are very intelligent and are called abnormal titans. This Iron Titan as his namesake is covered in hard bone or muscle that even a cannon cannot penetrate. The Iron titan posed like a sprinter in marathon and ran through the closing gates of Wall Maria, thereby allowing other titans to enter. When it finished charging, it let out so much steam in its mouth, even fire was coming out of it. The next few episodes advances some years until Eren, Mikasa and Armin has become full fledged soldiers and joined the survey corps. There mission is to retake Wall Maria and look inside the basement of Eren's house where it is said that Doctor Jaeger has kept the secret of the titans.

The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, Second Generation
Did you ever want to have a place called home in school? A place where people who have the same interest as you hang out? Especially in college where you expect anyone who have the same interest as you BE as the same level of interest as you? Sure if you're into anime you can join the Anime Club, sure if you're into manga you can join the Manga Club. But what if, they are so hardcore that they only want to focus on the anime/manga entirely and not both? What if seniors think of themselves as superior than the lower years and give you orders you do not want to do? That is just plain sad.
What if someone is fed up with all the authorities in a club that they created their own club? one where there is only one leader to represent the club but is as the same level as the club members? One where otaku in general can join and talk about their interest? This is when The Society For The Study of Modern Visual Culture(fancy name for Anime/Manga Research Club) is established. An otaku who likes anime and manga, an otaku who likes doujinshi(fan made story), an otaku who likes cosplay, an otaku who tailors cosplay, a gamer otaku or just a plain ol otaku can join. This anime is about the daily lives of different kinds of otaku. The First Generation or the first season has many male otaku and just two female; but the other one isn't even an otaku; she's just a girlfriend of the male gamer otaku. There activities ranges from going to Otakon(an otaku comic fest/convention) where all kinds of doujinshi are sold, cosplaying, even crossdressing and other normal otaku activities. This anime also talks about the complications an otaku has to face like their love life, what to do when they graduate and other normal situation a normal person has to face.
The Second Generation isn't the second season and is actually the third season. This time around, almost all of the first generation Genshiken has graduated. Because of the efforts of what's left of the first generation, they have recruited mostly female otakus. The Second Generation is now composed of mostly female otaku and only two male ones... and one is even to BL(Boys Love)... and cross dresses... and is mostly considered as female because of HIS superior make up, female voice and cross dress(Show above, the one being harassed). All or most of them are into BL(Into which they are called Fujoshi or Rotten Girls/Otaku) so this Second Generation is all about the female perspective of being an otaku. But I still watch it for the laughs and whatnot because I can relate somehow.
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S
A Certain Scientific Railgun S
The most popular anime among this list. Though this is the second season, this is actually the fourth season if we mix in To Aru Majutsu no Index(A Certain Magical Index) season one and two. But in chronological order, the first is the first season of Railgun then Railgun S and Index I overlaps then Index II. If you don't understand what I'm saying read my previous post in this blog here. That would cover most of To Aru Majutsu no Index.Let me just say a brief introductory between the two:
To Aru Majutsu no Index is about the Magic Side of Academy City, the most advanced city in the world or simply in Kamijou Touma's(Shown above, black hair) Perspective of the whole story while To Aru Kagaku no Railgun is about the Science Side of Academy City or in Mikoto Misaka's(Shown above, brown hair) Perspective.
To start with, Misaka Mikoto is a middle school student at Tokiwadai, a prestigious school in Academy City. Her nicknames are "Tokiwadai's Ace", "Railgun" and by Touma and anime fans as "BiriBiri"(The Japanese Onomatopoeia of shock or electricity). She is one of the only seven level 5 espers in Academy City and she ranked 3rd out of the seven. She maybe the youngest level 5 but this can be disproven if 6th is proved to be younger(because 6th hasn't been revealed). She is most remembered by fans for her Tsundere(One who is not honest with their feelings(Tsun) and will show it later on(Dere)) attitude and her shorts(As seen in the image because in animes, one would expect to see some underwear underneath). As a normal person would think, all level 5 will think they are superior and will look down upon lower levels but this proves this is not the case for Misaka. She is easy to approach and will not think she is superior than you. In season 1, she makes friends with a level 4 as her room mate, a level 1 and even a level 0(Level 0 espers are normal people who have yet to use their esper powers) and have normal female activities with them such as shopping, chatting in restaurants, karaoke or just plain girl time. They also have adventures when Saten, the level 0, hears about urban legends in the internet such as a level upper, missing children, the dorm care taker's love life, the stripping woman, and most recently, hidden credit cards in back valleys. All of those urban legends seem to be hard to believe but when Misaka and Kuroko(The Level 4) from Judgement(A group of voluntary espers that seek peace and order) investigates, they mostly find it true.
In season 2, it starts with the credit card urban legend and after the investigation, Saten talks to Misaka that she claims that she saw her and called to her but Misaka didn't respond. Misaka refutes that she didn't go such a place on that day. Saten didn't shrug it off and just started the topic of clones. Misaka finds it hard to believe but after sometime, she finds her clone in the middle of the street. She then reminiscence during her childhood that she was taken into a hospital and shown patients with muscle problems. A doctor persuades her to give them her DNA map as she is already showing potential as a level 5 Electromaster. Her abilities might become a cure for people with degenerate bioelectricity. As a child, she wasn't really aware of everything yet and only saw that by giving her DNA map, she will do good. It came back to haunt her when she saw her clone. Half of the season is about Misaka trying to end the "Level 6 shift" project where her clones or as she calls them "sisters" are being killed for the 1st ranking level 5 esper, Accelerator to achieve level 6.
Inu To Hasami wa Tsukaiyou
Dog and Scissors
Ever loved books to the point that you would sacrifice food for it? Kazuhito is one of these people. He is a high school student that is only interested in reading books day in and day out. Because of his collection, he had to rent another compartment just to store his book. His favorite author is Akiyama Shinobu, a well renowned best selling author and his favorite book is the Seven Deadly Sin where each sin had its own volume. The only book left that wasn't published was Lust and Kazuhito promised himself that he will read that book before he dies. This is ironic because he dies in a restaurant shooting to protect a woman, who is actually Akiyama Shinobu. His soul was resisting the afterlife because he still wanted to read the last book. He was given a second chance but this time he became a dog(shown above). He saw himself in a cage in a pet store. He tried talking to the the pet store owner but all he heard was the howl of a dog. After a few days, his habit of reading succumbed him and was on the verge of boredom. One day, he was visited by Akiyama Shinobu saying "Is it you that was calling for me?". The author wanted to buy the dog but the owner said it wasn't for sale. The author insisted by threatening him and he eventually sold it. Kazuhito later found himself wrapped around by clothe and rope and suspended in mid air. The author claims that she can hear his voice and that she is a sadistic woman who carries a pair of scissors all the time(Thus Dog and Scissors). The anime continues on with comical parts and generally have no main plot yet.

No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys' Fault I’m Not Popular!
As the title ensures, it is about a girl named Tomoko who dreams of being popular when she reaches high school and is waiting to get laid. But because of her habits of being a fujoshi during middle school, she looks very unfeminine and unsociable(as seen above). The anime goes by Tomoko going through everyday life and how she would handle it.
Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai : Megami-hen
The World God Only Knows : Goddess Arc
This would actually be the third season of the anime and that is the reason why I'm very disappointed...
The first season talks about Keima Katsuragi, the God of Conquest. He can conquer any woman... well at least 2D women. To rephrase, he is the God of Game Conquest. He can finish any conquest game 100% progress in any console with the least amount of time. He is always seen with a PFP(PSP parody) playing conquest games. Even during class and in the bath he is always playing. He only attends class to fulfill the required attendance. Although he doesn't pay attention in class, he ALWAYS aces a test in any subject and for that, he is sometimes forgiven or just ignored by the teachers. One day, he is sent a letter of challenge to conquer a woman. With pride, he accepts the challenge and signs the contract... The letter was actually a contract with a demon. A demon appears in front of Keima and calls him "Onii-sama"(Big Brother). She tells him that her name is Elsie and he will help her collect loose souls. Keima is all confused about this and just decided to ignore her. Elsie warns him that if he doesn't help her, both of them will be beheaded by the choker that magically appeared on their neck. Without any option, Keima decides to help her. Loose Souls are souls from hell that escaped hell and hide into the gaps of a girls heart. To get rid of the loose soul, the gap has to be filled with love. Most of his conquest ends with Keima kissing the girl. Luckily for Keima, when the loose soul is out, the girl doesn't remember the conquest but they still love Keima. With his genius in conquest, he has conquered 7 girls in two seasons.
Now for my disappointment. In the third season, the anime skipped 7~8(I don't remember) girls in the manga and went straight for the goddess arc in the manga. Who wouldn't be disappointed when you expect more girls to be conquered right?
My disappointment aside, if there are demons, there are angels. The Goddess arc is about Keima finding the 7 goddess who sealed off Old Hell. This goddesses hide in the heart of women filled with love(shown above). Keima checks all of the girls he conquered and indeed, some of them have the goddess. He checks them by the knowledge that they remember being conquered. The anime will continue on until all of the goddess are found.

Probably my unexpected second best new anime this season. By unexpected I meant I began looking forward to it every week starting with episode 3.
In Christian theology, God created the universe in six days. On the first day He divided light and dark. On the second day He created the sky. On the third day He created land and plants. On the fourth day He created the sun, moon and stars. On the fifth day He created the water and air animals. On the sixth day He created land animals and man. On the seventh day(according to the anime), He forsake the world. During modern times, the Heavens opened up and God said "Ah I made a mistake" and took the gift of Life and Death from humanity. No matter what you do, no one dies and no one is born. A baby will never be born again and no matter what, you will never die. This doesn't mean that you are a zombie if are a walking dead. It just barely means that no matter how deformed you are, you still can reason as a human and act as a human. God sent Grave Keepers for those who want to end it all. This grave keepers are like angels sent by God for those who want to end it all. They are also seen as demons for those who seek immortality. Basically what they do is that they dig a grave and place the dead into the ditch and bury them. If a normal person did it, the dead would only get impatient and struggle their way out.
Fourteen~Fifteen years after God forsake the world, there was a grave keeper not like other grave keepers. She was named Ai(shown above. Ai can be translated as Love). Most grave keepers are emotionless and cares not for the dead or living and only cares to bury the dead. But Ai was like any other human except she can bury the dead. She led a normal life with the exception of having a deceased mother and a nowhere-to-be-found father named "Humpty Humbert". One day, a man that proclaims himself as Humpty Humbert came into the village where Ai lives. He claims that he has no offsprings and thus, is not her father...
I do not want to spoil such an intriguing anime so just better watch it yourself as you will continue looking forward to it also upon finishing episode 3.
